With over two decades of rich heritage in the construction industry, the Archer family epitomises the spirit of entrepreneurship and dedication to craftsmanship.
Leonard Archer, the visionary founder and driving force behind our company, embarked on his construction journey alongside his father, a seasoned builder, immediately after finishing school. This early exposure to building homes laid a solid foundation for an expansive career in construction throughout Brisbane.
By his mid-20s, Leonard had already ventured out on his own, establishing Fasteners Direct. This venture quickly rose to prominence, becoming the leading supplier in Queensland for top-tier fastening solutions, renowned for its exceptional customer service and formidable global, high-quality product range. Leonard's relentless pursuit of excellence and innovation led him to expand his repertoire, initially venturing into the installation of stainless wire handrails under the Fasteners Direct banner, before responding to the increasing demand for his expertise by branching out into the creation of trellis walls.
Leonard’s son Bruno now serves as a third-generation working in the industry. As Jasbem’s General Manager, he heads the daily operations and is continuing to grow the business and its legacy.
The name Jasbem is a testament to the family-oriented ethos at the heart of our business, with each letter representing the initials of family members. This name symbolises the unity, collaboration and shared vision that propels our company forward, as we continue to explore new horizons and embrace challenges in the ever-evolving building industry.
